My daughter is older now but she still loves to have our Elf, Analisa, stir up some mischief during holiday time. I like that she looks forward to finding Analisa and going along with the fun like she did when was younger. Oh the magic of the holidays. Oh the magic of Elf on the Shelf.
The creativity you can find on Pinterest for Elf on the Shelf mischief is amazing. I have a good collection of ideas on my Pinterest board. I usually plan out Analisa’s activities on a calendar because it keeps the mischief organized and me on the ball to remember!
Here’s a few of Analisa’s activities at our house this past holiday. Hope it inspires some Elf on the Shelf ideas!
Each year Analisa arrives the same way … on her zip line of course!
Analisa lost a tooth and the tooth fairy came to visit.
One day Analisa toilet papered my daughter’s room!
Then she got into Barbie’s clothes and put on one of her evening gown outfits for the evening.
She rallied her friends to stay up and play Scrabble.
She talked to Barbie on the Walkie Talkie late at night and then….
changed my daughter’s homework answers. Annalisa also ate all the creme out of the Oreo’s and got into the dog biscuits thinking they were cookies. I am sure this is payback from Santa!
She photobombed her friends…
and one night she woke us up having choir practice!
But even with all her shenanigans, she often leaves my daughter some treats and advice.
If an Elf arrives at your house each year, enjoy the fun and joy with your kids. Who knows, maybe when your kids get to be teens they’ll still enjoy the surprise Elf magic can bring as much as mine does.
