Square Mini Album

November 20, 2016

Yesterday I put together a little square mini album. The inspiration is from a class by Nicole Reaves, which I took at Studio Calico. Because of the creative paper folding and gluing, the pages of this album open up to reveal a larger page. It is so much more than you expect to see in a little square mini album.

The album is 4″x4″ in size. Mine is made with three 8″ x 12″ sheets of paper, but a couple more do fit. Scoring and folding each sheet creates six 4-inch sections on each sheet in a grid pattern. These spots are perfect for photos, memorabilia or embellishments. They then accordion fold to fit inside for a cute little package of goodness.

The picture below shows how the page folds down to fit in the album. My favorite element on this page is in center panel on the right. I folded a tag for small picture inside. A little ribbon keeps it closed.

This is such a great idea for a square mini album because the construction is so different. I make a lot of mini albums and this format is certainly one I will make over and over.
