It’s the half way mark on the 2018 100 Days Project! I’m so glad I am participating in this creative adventure. It is creative, fun, relaxing, and also a great learning experience in watercolor so far.
My 100 Days Project is making 4″x6″ cards on watercolor paper to experiment with using watercolors. I make some type of background treatment each day, and add a word that represents the day. The little story around the edges of the cards explains what the word means for the day.
I also try to work on the fly: no planning, no pre-thought, no long drawn out thinking about it. Just sit down, and get it done in 15 minutes or so. Some days I paint several backgrounds so I have a few ready.
Here are a few of my cards from the project so far. You can also see my original blog post about joining the 100 Days Project here.
Hope you enjoy them – it’s a fun bit of play!

These are adorable!! This project has helped me grow so much and yes, spending the time just creating and not overthinking was just what I needed to kick my creativity into gear. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Roben!
