I am always trying new things. There are so many creative people out there and I love to find new ways of making memory albums or in this case, snail mail. One day while scrounging YouTube, I stumbled on a clever crafter that calls herself Little Hot Tamale. She creates fun snail mail (that is great as a mini album, too) out of a regular file folder. I thought it was unique and decided to make one!
Colorful file folders like this turquoise shade make it fast and easy to create a project. You don’t have to cover the entire file folder with paper but can just add cards, photos and embellishments. One thing I really like about how this folds is that you end up with a tab at the top. The piece ends up having several panels to decorate and use for writing your letter. I added traditional Project Life cards for my messages to jazz up the journaling.
I like to add photos in the letter which creates a little mini album. Imagine this coming in the mail with a custom made matching envelope!
Give it a try – they are easy to make and fun for the recipient!
