Pet Mini Album Class: July 15 Melbourne, FL

June 9, 2017

If you’re in central Florida, join me July 15, 2017 at the Chameleon Soul Gallery in downtown Melbourne, FL to make this pet mini album featuring my BOW MEOW card collection. This album takes just three sheets of scrapbook paper and simple supplies, along with your best photos of your cat or dog (or both)!

I found this mini album format on Pinterest and pinned it to the Make Today Creative Scrapbook Mini Album board. It is a great format for just about any kind of album and is super easy, and fast, to put together.

Pet Mini Album Cover

The mini album format incorporates two fold out pieces of paper that open to reveal three “sections” inside the album. The album has a wraparound cover and plenty of room for photos and stories about your furry friend. This photo shows the cover opened with the two fold out sections closed on top of each other.

As you unfold the panels, you can see that there are so many panels that make up this album. It is a surprise how much room there is!

Each attendee receives three sheets of scrapbook paper and a set of pet-themed cards. The card designs feature cat on one side and dog on the other. Papers won’t be the ones shown in this example, but are color coordinated to the cards. However, if you prefer, feel free to bring your own papers. TIP: Be sure to have two of the same pattern/style for the interior if you want the inside to be the same paper/background.

For coordinating papers to the cards, the photos here show many of the cards (blues, greens, teals, browns). You can also check out the full collection in the Make Today Creative ETSY Shop.

If you get prints at a drug store photo lab, there’s an easy method to print two 3″x4″ images on one 4″x6″ print. A free photo editor called PicMonkey is a great tool to get your pictures set up for this purpose. Follow this PicMonkey tutorial for the easy step-by-step process. Trust me, you’ll be glad you learned it!

If you have any questions, let me know. I hope to see you in class!
