One of my favorite things to do is make an album that is filled with photos and embellishments, ready for the owner to add notes and stories. This baby scrapbook album I did for a friend is a prime example.
I chose to document everything leading up to baby’s arrival. It includes using Mom’s social media posts, quotes and cute sayings in an accent page of pockets, with plenty of areas for Mom and Dad to write thoughts and notes.
My friend is using gray, black and white with touches of pink and gold in her nursery so I created this baby scrapbook album with that in mind. The shower last weekend brought the palette to life in an amazing event with beautiful touches on the table, decor and food.
The Baby Scrapbook Album
This photo was posted to announce the pregnancy. Being a graphic designer, this creative way to break the news makes for a compelling opening page of the album.
This couple has a great story to tell their little one about her entry into this world. I know when kids grow up they love to hear the story of how they came to be and what led up to their birth.
I like to capture social media posts in albums when I can because it archives a moment in time. Years from now it will be fun for them to remember what people said when they announced they were having a little girl.
This accent page includes 12 pockets of quotes, advice and embellishments.
On the reverse I gave her 12 spots to record little notes or thoughts from each month of the baby’s first year.
Accent pages are fun to create and allow you to play with supplies and create little individual works of art.
I did something a little different with the layout for this page, giving her a free-form writing area to record quick words and phrases on different facets of pregnancy.
Hope it inspires some ideas for your baby scrapbook album or keepsake gift.
