Happy Valentine’s Day! I can’t believe its already February. I’m currently working on my December Daily scrapbook so my mind still wants it to be Christmas.
I’m always on the look out for easy tutorials for a fast gift project. This year for Valentine’s Day I made my husband and kids Valentine letters. I used a blank project life journal card for the note to each of them, decorating it and tucking inside handmade envelopes out of scrapbook paper.
I created the envelopes using a tutorial by Janel Hutton. What I loved about this particular tutorial was the little self-closure tab on the backside of the envelope. So clever and cute, it allows you to close the envelope without sealing it, creating the perfect spot for a little embellishment. Since its easy to follow and quick to make, I spent much more time writing and embellishing the card than I did making the envelopes.
